TALOE closing event

The final seminar of TALOE took place in Brussels (Université Libre de Bruxelles) on 17 November 2015. Participants could learn and experiment the webtool to propose assessment methods corresponding to different types of learning outcomes/competences.

The first part of the TALOE workshop focused on the implementation made by the ALOA model of revised Bloom’s taxonomy and alignment of Anderson et al. The workshop was chaired by Alfredo Soeiro, Associate professor at University of Porto, Portugal, his presentation is available here.

The second part of the TALOE event presented a New web tool to support assessment of learning, application of case studies and debate about results. The workshop was lead by Sandra Kucina, Assistant Director of University Computing Centre University of Zagreb, Croatia.

Recording of webinar “The TALOE webtool” is now available

The TALOE consortium held another successful webinar on 11 November about how the TALOE web tool works by helping teachers and trainers decide on the assessment strategies to use in their online courses. As the webinar was part of the professional events organized in the context of the United States Distance Learning Association National Distance Learning Week (USDLA NDLW) and it is the final TALOE webinar.

The lecture was held by three TALOE project representatives, Sandra Kučina Softić, Assistant Director for Training and User Support at the University Computing Centre University of Zagreb, Rita Falcão de Berredo, Head of the Research Support Office at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Éva Szalma, Project Officer at European Distance and E-Learning Network.

Fourth project meeting of the TALOE partnership

The fourth project meeting of TALOE was held in Madrid, Spain at the end of October 2015. The partnership focused on the overall review of the project and its results which have been achieved. Based on the feedback of the usage of the TALOE webtool, the partnership agreed it is to be very positive and they highlighted the importance of the translation and transfer of the tool in order to reach a wider public.projectmeetingMadrid

The TALOE Consortium held successful webinars during the project lifetime and will broadcast its last, free webinar tomorrow at 16 CET organised in the context of the United States Distance Learning Association National Distance Learning Week (USDLA NDLW).

Webinar on TALOE results at the USDLA National Distance Learning Week

“Talks on e-assessment and learning outcomes” webinar series is continuing with a new webinar entitled “The TALOE  web tool”  on 11 November 2015 at 16.00 CET. The webinar is part of the professional events organized in the context of the United States Distance Learning Association National Distance Learning Week (USDLA NDLW).

The TALOE web tool is developed to help teachers and trainers decide on the assessment strategies to use in their online courses. During the webinar, the presenters will demonstrate the tool, and talk about the ALOA (Aligning Learning Outcomes and Assessment) conceptual model that highlights the connection between the intended learning outcomes and the assessment strategy used during a course.
